Hi,

Unfortunately I don't know Spanish, but I hope you understand English :)
I just wanted to point out that the Strange Day's Dream video is set to private, so it's not viewable.

hi k., in the video section, I uploaded for you the 'strange days dream' live show of the shamen in 1989.

I'd really like to see it but it seems that the YouTube settings must be changed?

/Katja

PS. I really love this site - thanks for making it!

By the way, I was looking for recent information about Colin Angus for a long time before I found this site. The days before I found the Uranian Sunlight I made this track, dedicated to CGA: http://soundcloud.com/sputniksaturna/searching-for-colin-in-this

Hi Katja, nice name ;)

http://pablosandoz.blogspot.com/2008/11/demos.html
Many videos (inc. Strange Days dream Live)
Your song you dedicated to colin's really interesting.
In the BIO section, you can find a complete biography in spanish of Colin Angus, with direct advice from the label Moksha, and a summary written in English by Esme Gowland.
one of the post in this blog, find the latest pictures available of Colin, by Barda and Mattcatt in 2009, working on the project Pablo Sandoz.
In recent years, Colin has recorded music with the german band Conscience (Falling) and the emerging South African producer Michael Martin (Indidginus), with the beautiful 'Lost Coast'.
Since you're a big fan of Colin, I will say that Michael told me the intention of recording with Colin in London new versions of 'Lost Coast' but with the voice of Colin (now instrumental).
Regards, Fernando

Hi Fernando, thanks! :))

Yes I recently read the biography (I used google translate ;)) and also Esme's summary. As a matter of fact it was through Esme's site "The Art of Sequencing" that I found "The Uranian Sunlight" and I've had a short correspondence with her. Actually she directed me to you as you obviously keep very good track on Colin and his projects. And I'm not disappointed. :)

Thanks for all this information! I have completely missed out on "Lost Coast". Do you know if it's available for listening online? And also - do you know if Colin plans any own project this year? I mean, after all, it's 2012 and all. ;)

Best regards,
Katja

PS. Esme gave me your e-mail address, so if you don't mind, perhaps I could use that for further communication. :)

You can write whatever you want, you can even add me on Facebook as a friend, as did Esme.
In this link:

you can hear the latest in what has participated Colin; with Indidginus on guitars and with Conscience with vocals & arrangements in the track Falling
at this point in time, colin has no own musical project two years ago, told me personally that the idea of reviving The Shamen not motivated, but Rich and Victoria would be sympathetic to regroup the band.
I sincerely believe that Colin is physically exhausted to deal with musical projects that carry a lot of work ... but I may occasionally collaborate with new alternative electronic music composers.

Okay, I found you on Facebook and added you so don't be alarmed finding a request from a person with an odd name, wearing shades ;)

Thanks! I don't know how I managed to miss that one.. I thought I had looked through your site properly...

Yeah I read that Colin has no ambitions to revive the Shamen and I think that maybe that's a wise point of view - if he doesn't feel inspired to go through with it, it wouldn't turn out well anyway.
He told you that...Do you know Colin personally? If so, that's really cool. You wrote that youbelieve that Colin is physically exhausted... I already knew that he was very ill several years ago, but how is he now? Does he have bad health? If that's the case, I'm really sorry to hear that...

my contact with colin has always been 'virtual', the time when colin was more accessible, I took an early age and with little chance of leaving my country to attend live shows the band ... also in spain have always been unknown, except in ibiza rave circles or the canary islands british tourist ambients.
I have understood that colin is in good health and happy with his life, and spend enough time in london with his partner .... has a tight circle of friends and the only way to contact him is through his label moksha.
my personal impression is that colin is not coming back to write alone, and that will kill the bug the music occasionally collaborating with other musicians in the electronic pop scene without complications.
Therefore this blog post has more anecdotes or compilation of information on cga, whose 'aura' is like the light of a candle is slowly consuming the wax and light which can barely be seen now blurred.

Funnily enough, I was about to contact Moksha some time ago, but then I found Esme who directed me to you, so I decided not to bother Moksha with all my questions. Maybe I'll contact them the day when I'm a good musician and want to ask Colin for a collaboration, haha. I'm joking.

Good to hear that he's fine and well and even though he may not work solo again, it's nice that he hasn't given it up completely.

As I think I've said before, you've made an excellent job with this site, compiling all this information. It's a great database.

Lábaro dijo...

You can contact facebook Moksha (The Shamen Facebook) a private message, I answered.
Thanks for your comments on the blog ... if you access the forum and register, you can access the live material of the shamen, quite rare as some CDs that have not been edited in other support.

K. Lindblom dijo...

You mean the Shamen Facebook page? Yes I wrote a few lines there and saw that you answered :)
However it seems that I cannot find the Nemeton forum. From the N website they link to the Nemeton FB page, but I don't see a forum anywhere... Do you have a direct link?

Lábaro dijo...

jaja, the official forum nemeton of disappearances... in this blog is a link to the new forum nemeton (unofficial) that I maintain:
